Shaping a Low-Carbon Future: Innovations in Sustainable Transport
|
|
Dear IKI partners and friends,
Advancing the mobility transition is a cornerstone of climate action – and last week, the Transport and Climate Change Week, funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI), put this mission in the spotlight. The event gathered policymakers, practitioners, and innovators to explore practical solutions for low-emission, efficient, and inclusive transport systems. Learn more about the event here!
The discussions during the week highlighted exactly what IKI aims to achieve under its priority field of action “advancing the mobility transition”: demonstrating and scaling solutions that reduce emissions, improve accessibility, and foster sustainable transport practices.
In this newsletter, we showcase how IKI projects put this vision into practice – from low-emission shipping in the Pacific, to solar-powered e-bikes in Namibia, and community-led street redesigns in the Philippines.
Enjoy reading!
Best regards,
Your IKI Communications Team
