Working together for climate action and biodiversity conservation
|
Dear IKI partners and friends,
We would like to take the beginning of the New Year to thank the IKI community for the great cooperation so far! We look forward to continuing to work with you in 2025 for global climate action and the conservation of biodiversity.
There are already many ideas for new IKI projects, as the year 2025 started with three open calls. The deadlines for the calls for proposals under the IKI Medium Grants and IKI Small Grants closed a few days ago. Numerous exciting project ideas and applications were submitted. Many thanks to all the organisations that have taken part!
By the way, project outlines can still be submitted for the ideas competition for the current IKI Thematic Call until mid-February 2025.
The articles in this issue of the newsletter illustrate the diversity of IKI´s project work and how it contributes to IKI's strategic goals. We report on how IKI projects are working on a just energy transition in South Africa, combining traditional knowledge with agrobiodiversity to make agriculture in Colombia more sustainable, or utilising the results of climate research to facilitate adaptation to the impacts of climate change.
Enjoy reading!
Best regards,
Your IKI Communications Team
