Advancing Ambitious Climate Policy
|
Dear IKI Partners and Friends,
In the wake of the 2023 Climate Change Conference (COP28) held in Dubai, attention turned to the conclusion of the inaugural Global Stocktake. This process is an assessment of the collective progress in meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement. The findings underscore the urgent need for raising ambition in global climate policy to meet our agreed-upon targets and inform the preparation of the next Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) due in 2025. The International Climate Initiative (IKI) remains steadfast in supporting our partner countries as they enhance and implement their NDCs. In this newsletter edition, we showcase examples of the strategies being employed for this purpose.
For a comprehensive overview of the IKI's NDC support, please visit or dedicated topic page.
In this edition we also focus on bolstering bilateral cooperation, exemplified by the launch of the IKI Country Call Brazil. Further details can be found below.
We trust you find this newsletter edition enriching.
Warm regards, Your IKI Communications Team
